Worships God the Mother, but also God the Wanton, God of Secrets, God of Darkness, God of Hidden Places, and God of Death. The horse is a cult animal. With a priesthood composed almost exclusively of women, the Cunt is involved in fertility rites, often at night, and some conducted in secret. Deputising for the God as Sexual Woman, priests of the Cunt have the right to demand sexual intercourse with any man at any time, although this right is rarely practised. However, this, in addition to the secretiveness of the cult, leads it to be feared by the House of the Eye, which is most hostile towards the Cunt.

The Cunt is the major cult among the Yachorach, who were previously earth-goddess worshippers. It takes especial responsibility for fertility of herds, and secret fertility rituals are conducted on the heaths in spring by the Cunt which involve horses and are believed to be orgiastic.

Another festival celebrated by the Cunt each autumn, which is public and certainly orgiastic, is the Blood Festival. This is the occasion of the slaughter of young beasts for winter meat. All slaughter of domestic animals is carried out by Priestesses of the Cunt, who carry a ritual knife at all times. Animals are killed by cutting the throat, and the priestess, who is always naked for the rite, allows herself to be covered in the blood.

In summer, priests of the Cunt wear transparent skirts, with a broad embroidered girdle, and openwork sandles; elaborate openwork strappings of studded leather or gold chain, symbolising horse harness, may be worn on the head and arms, or occasionally over the whole torso. Riding boots, often reaching very high on the leg, are common. In winter, they may additionally wear long stockings, gloves reaching to the shoulder, a cloak, and a sort of cummerbund reaching to just below the breasts. Women priests of the Cunt never cover their breasts.

Apart from this, the Cunt is responsible for midwifery and reproductive medicine (in both women and men), for the management of herds and for the slaughter of domestic animals, and for euthenasia, which is commonly practiced in cases of untreatable illness. Jointly with the Cock, the Cunt takes responsibility for initiation of the young, for population control, for psychiatry, and for public entertainment, including dance, music, and acrobatics. Co-operation with the Cock is exceedingly close, and priests of the Cunt take part in many of the public fertility rites of the Cock.

The Cunt has two additional functions. One is the supervision of mining, in its aspect of God of Hidden Places. This function is lucrative, and is jealously regarded by the Hand. The other is the nearest equivalent the Place has to Swiss banking; the safekeeping of private wealth and secrets. This function is also lucrative, and is jealously regarded by almost everyone.
